This is the last of the novella series and it was also the longest book and I did very much enjoy it however there were small plot inconsistencies it kind of drove me crazy. Somethings that were kind of unbelievable despite the fact that we're dealing with vampires and werewolves. I did really enjoy this one but not as much as I liked the last one which is my favorite of the series. I kind of wish there was one more about a certain vampire in a certain half werewolf check that was mentioned in this book but it doesn't seem like there's another one coming. Especially since the books were very much a standalone with in the series and the characters didn't even know each other. It was a pretty good read. The weak language and passive words still bug the crap out of me but that seems to be normal for this Author. She can at least tell a good story that keeps me interested.

I really like Cynthia Eden's books. I got this back in April and finally read it 2 days ago. Although I don't like to write a lot of information in my reviews about the books, because I feel it can ruin it for others. I will say this

The story starts with the main male character, Lorcan, whose a Werewolf that falls in love with a Born Female Vampire. The Born Female Vampire named, Keira/Jane, was sentenced to "prison" for a 200 years for 2 things. (You'll have to read it to see why.) Now, when I started reading this, it reminded me of another book by Cynthia that had a Werewolf searching for a Born Female Vampire that had been imprisoned for a 200 years as well. But the reasoning wasn't the same as this. I was confused and thought that Cynthia had taken that same story but added some twists. But, I decided to ignore that part and keep reading.

In this story, you don't only get to read about Lorcan and Keira/Jane, you also have quite a few other main characters in the story. There are quite a few twists in this story that keeps you on your toes and guessing. I did think it was a little more bloody than what I am used to reading from Cynthia, but overall, it was a good, long read. There are some sex scenes but it isn't over the top and fits good within the storyline.

Now if you haven't read any of Cynthia's other Bound books, you won't be lost while reading this one. But I would suggest them anyways. They are all really good! I do recommend this book.
My love affair with this series continues! Feral Alpha male with a serious drive to find his hidden mate? YES, PLEASE! Throw in a sadistic douche-canoe whose idea of a party is to remove someone's memories in a twisted bid for power and you have a winner.

There's also backstabbing, a fair amount of blood, and the beginning of a potential love story with some secondary characters. <3 Yes, I am in flaily, fangirl bliss. Thank you for noticing.

Alerec... he's a hunk of burning love. Literally. He's a werewolf. They run hot. *nods* Anyway. He's all tangled up after 200 years without his lady love and his wolf is close to the surface. I think he grows on Jane. Or she grows into him. Or... something like that. She starts off scared of the world and ends up kicking ass and taking names. It's pretty awesome.

I love the secondary characters and the interactions between them. The bad guys aren't too shabby either. I mean, they're not the sort you want to meet in a dark alley or anything. Mostly because they'd rip your head off without giving it a second thought. That's never a selling point on meeting people, in my opinion.

As always, I adore these werewolf/vampire pairings and I'm completely willing to read MOAR of them.

Wow. Bound in Death is book five in the Bound series by Eden. I have loved them all, but this one is my favourite. The story jumps straight into the action. Alerac, a werewolf, has been caught in bed with Keira, a vampire. Their love is forbidden and it started out as a plan for Alerac to get revenge for his slain family. However he never expected to find his mate in Keira, just as he never expected for her to save him. He didn’t know she would sacrifice herself and take on his punishment. Now he has spent the past two hundred years searching for her, but when he finds her she has no memory of him. Her name is Jane Smith and she has no idea who she can trust and with all the foes surrounding her, her mistrust in everyone is well placed.

This story is full of action, intrigue, twists and betrayal. There was not just one villain here, and perhaps not even just one love story. Bound in Death felt epic to me and I loved every single page. It kept me glued to my kindle and it is an absolute must read for fans of this series or just paranormal fans in general. You do not need to have read the previous books to enjoy this completely standalone story. Amazing!
